When I was around 16 years old I came into contact with some army guys that my friend had knew.  One of the army guys, Ted, claimed to be a dungeon master.  At the time I didn’t know what that was, but he promised that one day he would show me. Hehe, and he did.  He invited me and several of his company buddies to his apartment one night and explained it all.  Dungeons and Dragons. D&D. Wow, what a game. I became hooked on the role playing aspect of the game immediately and was entranced in the fantasy medieval world we were tossed into. Over the years, I grew up, married (an army guy, not Ted) and had 3 children, but AD&D remained a big part of our entertainment. My husband was also a dungeon master and he use to hold entire weekend long campaigns (night and day). What a blast that was!  Soon all our AD&D friends got transferred and the new people we met never seemed interested in AD&D. So over the years AD&D evolved, without us, From TRS to Wizards of the Coast, from AD&D to advanced AD&D. Lord know what it is now, been so very long. But slowly, I started learning how to use computers. In 1990 I bought a silly little puter that used floppy disk, but....I could play Pool of Radiance on the computer and control characters from a AD&D scenario! That was just so cool I thought!

Over the last decade I watched how gaming on the computers went from a single person playing a RPG to watching the internet grow, and all of a sudden.....Online games!  Online games are games you can play with other people through the internet or network type connections.  Soon those grew to MMOG.  Massively multiplayer online games allures people that can play with or without thousands of other online gamers simultaneously while bringing an atmosphere with a social aspect to what once was considered a singular form of entertainment.   I’ve tried a numerous number of games, Ultima Online, Everquest, Illusia, etc...but I only listed the ones that I am dedicated to. Thanks to MMOG, I can once again enjoy the fantasy medieval aspect of role play :)
