we go.....
The first step is always the hardest, and we are all feeling some tension at this point.
A milestone in Brett's life, and in ours.
On
the way up to the swearing-in ceremony, we stopped at a little place called
Heaven on Earth. There we enjoyed a wonderful meal....
with lots of toast. Lots.
We are all feeling a bit better now, the journey has begun, and the starting out jitters have left us.
We
stayed overnight in Salem and visited with Brett's grandmother, then a stop over
at Uncle Mark's for a BBQ.
There we celebrated Brett's moment with a little toast.
Not the same kind of toast that we had at the restaurant...
On to the Swearing-in Ceremony...
