I have Bruce Meeds to thank for getting me started metal detecting many years ago. It has proven to be the most interesting and rewarding hobby I have ever pursued.
Fisher Coin Strike. Fishers the latest technology, using DPA ( Digital Phase Analysis ). This detector also incorporates a digital readout related to the item detected, with a scale of numbers assigned to different types of metal. It is strikingly different than the CZ 7a. It is VERY sensitive, and has a full range of adjustments that allow you to "fine tune" it to any search conditions.
Recently I purchased a small "hockey puck" coil, and a larger 10.5 inch coil for this detector. The small coil gives me added capabilities detecting in junk infested areas, allowing me to pick up good signals that are located close to trash metals. while the larger coil allows me to search wide open areas more efficiently.
My first metal detector, a Garrett 500
If you really want to look at an assortment of metal detecting finds, click on this link to pop you up to the links at the top of the page. All kinds of things from ski pins, soccer pins, earrings, bracelet charms, coins, tokens, etc. with descriptions and info on where and when I found them. Now I have infected my oldest son with the bug, and he uses the Garrett. If you have any questions or comments regarding the Fisher CoinStrike, CZ 7a PRO or the Garrett 500, send me an E-Mail. I would get a kick out of hearing from you.
