For those that do not know much about Sumer recorded history, I will  explain what little I think I know.  The country of Sumer was a major  player in the history of the World about five to six thousand years ago. They recorded the knowledge of the times on clay tiles.  These tiles have been found for many years in archaelogical digs in what I call ancient Arabia.  Most of these tiles now are in the world's major Museums.  Historians have  learned to translate these tiles and Sitchin is very good at translating these facts. True, he has his opponents.

The tiles show that Sumeria was an advanced civilization.   They speak  of the Planet Pluto that was just discovered by modern man in 1930.  The measurement of length the foot as twelve inches, the 360 degree circle, the dozen as a unit and many mathematical units we recognize today, were recorded in clay by the Sumerians.  In fact the tiles tell of things that have only made sense to modern man in the last decade or so.

Please note that the land of Sumer and it's people seemed to have just appeared "overnight" in the World's history.  This explains to me the "missing link" theory in the study of man.  To have suddenly appeared on the World's scene with all this knowledged of the stars, planets, mathematics, and so forth, is the proof of the theory presented by Sitchin.

Sitchin has written five or more books dealing with the subject and I will try to capsulize his thinking.  The Sumerians said there is a 12th planet obiting our sun with a big long orbit and goes in a clockwise direction. Note here that all of the other planets of the sun rotate in a counter clockwise fashion.  In the beginning our Sun had captured this planet from another system.  It takes about 3600 of our years for this 12th planet to make one orbit.

There are beings on this planet and they came to earth and created man. A great many of things the Sumerians wrote of have proven out today.
