WATERSHED COUNCIL COORDINATOR

Job Description:
The Watershed Council Coordinator is responsible for directing the Applegate River Watershed Council program, including coordination of Watershed Council projects and overall program development, oversight of organizational finances, and staff supervision.
   
   
Responsibilities:
Work with staff to develop and implement the Watershed Council program.
Write and review grant proposals, and coordinate proposal development to achieve program goals.
Work with project staff and office manager to track project progress and financial status.
Conduct annual written performance reviews for individual staff members.
Facilitate communication and collaboration among project managers and Applegate Partnership Board (the governing body of ARWC) to achieve an integrated program.
Coordinate activities with partner groups, including local, state and federal agencies and diverse interest groups.
Represent the Watershed Council at appropriate local, state and regional meetings.
Attend monthly meetings with the Applegate Partnership Board.
Report on Watershed Council activities to interested groups. (Manage / participate in Watershed Council projects.
   
   
Qualifications:
Background in Natural Resources Management.
Experience in project development, fundraising, and management.
Personnel management experience and the ability to work with a diverse population.
Excellent writing skills.
Knowledge of general finance and budgeting procedures.
Computer skills, including MS Word and Excel.
Strong communication skills.
   
   
Benefits:

Life insurance, access to 403 (C) 3 retirement plan, paid vacation according to time employed plus six paid holidays per year. Salary is negotiable ($35 to $38k/year), based on knowledge and experience.
